All our latex balloons are made from high-quality natural latex, an organic material that is completely 100% biodegradable.

Stop! Releasing balloons

However, this does not mean that balloons should end up in nature, which is guaranteed to happen when you release a helium balloon! That balloon will eventually come back down and land in nature. And even though the balloons are biodegradable, you shouldn't want this. After all, you wouldn't just throw away a banana peel, would you? Furthermore, we absolutely want to prevent the risk of an animal choking or getting entangled in a balloon that has not yet fully biodegraded. Therefore, Globos discourages releasing helium balloons outdoors, in nature. We recommend properly disposing of used balloons, either in a compost heap where they have the best conditions to fully biodegrade within a few months, or in landfills where they can also safely break down.

In short: Feel free to use helium balloons in various balloon decorations and clean up after using them, but do not use helium balloons for releasing. And if you still want to release balloons into the air, make sure that the balloon decoration remains attached to a long string so that the entire decoration can be brought down and removed after use. Feel free to inquire about the options.
