How can you wrap money or a gift in a balloon?

We are regularly asked how people can get a gift in a balloon themselves, because they are not always able to come to Spijkenisse and have us pack a gift in a balloon with our professional stuffer machine worth €1,000. euros. That's why I looked on the internet for a manual on how to get a gift in a balloon without a machine.

There are several instructional videos on YouTube about how you can make a stuffer machine yourself for a few euros, but if you only want to give away an original gift balloon once in a while, then that is not really what you are looking for. After some research, I came across this video of 2 ladies who can really get anything into a balloon without any use of machines or other accessories. The link to this video can be found at the bottom of this article, but before you get started with making your own gift balloon - first read this additional information with some points for improvement so that you can make your own gift balloon that looks the same. as the professional gift balloons that we make.

Tips and Improvement Points

  1. In the video they use small plain opaque balloons. At Globos you can order special 16 inch Transparent Stuffer Balloons in different themes. These balloons are much more beautiful and specially made for wrapping gifts.
  2. The ladies also show it in the video... first blow up the balloon once and let it deflate again before you pull the balloon apart.
  3. Tie a string to the gift and let the other end stick out of the balloon. This way, once the balloon is inflated, you can pull the gift up a bit so that it is not on the bottom of the balloon but hangs nicely in the middle.
  4. It goes without saying that you have to be careful with sharp objects. Order a few extra spare balloons in case a balloon pops.
  5. The ladies blow up the balloon with their mouths and that is THE way to not need any further accessories, but I would like to mention that blowing up with a balloon pump is preferred. A balloon can always burst and you don't want that in your face.
  6. Once you have placed the gift in the balloon, inflate the balloon completely so that it does not form a pear shape and tie it closed. If you used a thread, simply tie it along.

Order extra for a nice finish of the Gift Balloon

The video explains how to get money or other gifts in a balloon, but unfortunately they do not show how to beautifully finish the balloon like we do at Globos (see photo below) so that you can really impress with your gift.

GIFT BALLOONS

  1. Blow a modelling balloon and make a circle out of it so that you can place the gift balloon in there and it stays upright.
  2. Blow up 4 small 5 inch balloons (13cm). Tie these together in pairs. Twist the 2 sets around each other so that you have a cluster of 4 balloons. Twist this cluster around the knot of the gift balloon a few times so that the cluster is stuck and you no longer see the knot of the gift balloon.
  3. Finally, place some balloon ribbon crosswise between the small balloons. These strings create a festive look and complete the gift balloon.
