Pleasantly surprised by the food. Though not the highest quality the taste is great! Especially with the price. You get great portions for the price. Servers were great, kind and very attentive. Food came really quickly as well. The paloma was a bit sweet though and the gin and tonic didn’t have any garnish, but really enjoyed my time here.

Bar Picar brings Benidorm to Rotterdam. Picar is a new place in town, and on the surface seems like a spot where people will flock to because everyone else is flocking to it. Food is tapas-style but the portions mostly aren't adequate enough for a larger group. The pulpo is rubbery, the patatas bravas lack any sort of personality. It does get better, luckily. The meatballs in cumin tomato sauce are really good, as are the artichokes. Highlight is the chimichurri steak, but whoever decided to serve a ceviche with bland fish and watermelon deserves to scrub kitchen surfaces for a few months and the Iberico ribs could have done with a few minutes less time on the open flame. We pick the fried cauliflower because our waiter recommends it, and nobody is a fan. It happens. Dessert turns out to be a massive letdown. The tiramisu is dry and milky, the crème brulee is too thin and lacks that rich vanilla tone. Very disappointing. Service is pretty lackluster, with staff mostly young, inexperienced and uninterested. We're left to ourselves for most of our stay and staff often seems a bit confused about us sharing the food. Place looks nice enough, but acoustics are a bit of a concern on busy evenings. Hard to recommend, unless you're with a group and nobody is picky.

Bar picar is a rising star from the city! -Excellent location -Easy to make a reservation -Kind and friendly staff -Beautiful decoration -Cool and cozy ambiance -Great menu (different options for tapas and great selection of drinks) - Tasty and well presented dishes -Prices can be slightly higher but for the reasons above might be justified. Definitely recommend this place for any occasion. Wishing the best to Bar Picar!

Atmosphere is great, and food was good. Perfect to share the dishes with each other. Service was rather slow and not attentive, multiple waiters just walked passed without even looking. So this could be improved.

This was great. Food was great. Especially the gnocchi and de melenzane. The madame ginger is very recommendable. And the staff was very friendly. Perhaps the portioning was just a tiny bit on the smaller size.
