At someone's house

You can easily organize a baby shower at someone's home. For example, with the expectant mother herself, with her sister or her parents, or with one of her friends at home. The living room is often the best place for the baby shower, but if the weather is nice, you can of course go outside in the garden, on the balcony or roof terrace. The advantage of celebrating a baby shower at home is that you do not have to adhere to an end time and that the space does not cost you anything. A disadvantage is that you have to do your own shopping and provide everyone with a snack and a drink. You may also incur additional costs for renting chairs and the necessary decoration in your home.

In a Restaurant or Café

Baby showers are also very often celebrated in Rotterdam restaurants and cafés. A table is often reserved for you where the entire group can sit, but there are also restaurants and cafés that have a separate room available for these types of events. The advantage of celebrating a baby shower in a café or restaurant is that you don't have a mess at home and all the food and drinks are provided for you. Even the decoration can be done for you.
