On July 8, 2023, the roof of the iconic Groot Handelsgebouw officially opened its doors to visitors, giving birth to a vibrant new hotspot: The Rooftop. The GHG, known for its rich history and renowned catering establishments such as Brasserie Engels and Kriterion cinema, now houses an iconic rooftop with restaurant and bar, managed by Spinning Group with Smoke Masters as kitchen chef. Unfortunately, The Rooftop was only open temporarily and could only be visited until December 2023. The rooftop offered an extensive menu and a range of drink options, with accessible dishes such as smash burgers, loaded fries and healthy salads, all prepared in an open kitchen and at two food stations, including a station with various snacks and treats. Visitors could also enjoy a beautiful terrace with a panoramic view of the center of Rotterdam, while enjoying refreshing cocktails and a traditional Rotterdam cup of coffee.

A chef prepares everything downstairs and then it is brought upstairs, so you don't have a kitchen on location. You do not have to be a visitor to the amusement park to visit the restaurant.
