Welcome to Fitzgerald, a culinary destination in Rotterdam that takes its name from the legendary writer Francis Scott Fitzgerald. The restaurant, awarded a Michelin star since 2018, offers a refined experience where Rotterdammers and international guests come together in a beautiful setting.

Fitzgerald is located on the modern Gelderseplein in the historic Oude Haven and has a contemporary interior that combines modern design with vintage classics. The restaurant has a compact menu that changes regularly and offers both à la carte dishes and set menus. Led by chef Michael Verhagen, we cook with a classic basis and a modern, international twist.

Whether you're coming for an intimate dinner for two or a celebratory gathering with a larger party, Fitzgerald offers several options to meet your needs. Groups of up to five people can order à la carte, while larger groups can choose from special menus that are put together in consultation with the restaurant.

For an exclusive experience, Fitzgerald also offers a beautiful private dining room. This space, suitable for groups of 10 to approximately 28 people, can be subtly closed off by sliding glass walls, giving guests the feeling of still being part of the lively atmosphere of the restaurant. Here guests can enjoy menus consisting of 5 to 7 dishes, with the option to adapt the program to their wishes.

Fitzgerald also has the Garden Room, ideal for larger groups with a view of the restaurant's beautiful garden. Whether an intimate dinner, a business meeting or a festive celebration, Fitzgerald provides the perfect setting for any event.

Private Dining

At Fitzgerald in Rotterdam you will find the perfect balance between privacy and a relaxed atmosphere for private dining. Inspired by the author of The Great Gatsby, Fitzgerald offers five types of bubbly to celebrate special deals. Depending on the group size and preferences, the restaurant has two areas: a fully enclosed 'private dining room' and a semi-open space overlooking the courtyard. Even the terrace can be reserved exclusively for dinner. And if the meeting lasts a little longer, owner Danny Gonzalez will arrange an overnight stay at the adjacent Citizen M, making Fitzgerald the ideal location to finalize business, meet investors or simply enjoy a romantic evening in a stylish atmosphere.
