Went yesterday for a farewell of a friend of mine. The place is nice, beautiful and well decorated. Although in the end the place got really crowded, the service was still ok. We only have beers, so I cannot judge the food (the price is aligned with Wit's). The thing that really bothered me was the volume of the music. I mean, I understand that is a kind of a night club later, but later. When is 7 pm and people just wanna talk, you don't set the volume that high (and say it is a default volume). Would go back to enjoy the night club and see how it is, but for a regular beer and chat, if you go, don't sit inside.

Worst restaurant I ever visited. They let us eat food from the table and did not provide us with plates. When we ordere soup, it came in glasses without a spoon. Needed to wait 20 minutes for a beer. Gave us nog enough bread, afterwards they charged us extra for 3 dry slices of bread. Waiters were not very friendly either.

Not only is this restaurant noisy and expensive, but the food is absolutely horrible. Paying 17 euros for a "hamburger" that is basically a deep fried chicken steak that you can have for cheaper at McDonald's is really a shame. You can also go for a Burrata Salad, a big bowl of rucola with a few tomatoes and a couple of small slides of burrata. Would absolutely not recommend the restaurant, even if you are hungry and desperate. Be aware that if you decide to go with this restaurant, you will have to wait a really long time for those delicious dishes to arrive.

After what happened, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. On Friday 21 July, I met with my friends at NRC at 7 PM, and we spent around 200 eur together. We ordered drinks from the bar and were looking for a place to sit and chat. I was walking from the bar with a drink in my hand, and suddenly, a man approached us and grabbed me by the hand, demanding that I take off my cap. I was honestly confused as he didn't introduce himself or provide any explanation. Since he was a stranger to me, I simply said "No." In response, he forcibly threw me out of the place, shouting: "You do what I said or you are out!" He didn't even allow me to take my bag with me, which I had left inside. He was not wearing any name badge or something that would help me understand who he is. Later, we discovered that there was a rule against wearing caps inside the venue after ten o'clock. However, these rules were only posted in Dutch and in a small font near the bouncers, making them hardly noticeable, especially when the bouncers obstructed the view. Moreover, no one mentioned this rule when we entered the place; otherwise, we might have chosen to go elsewhere from the beginning. The bouncer then falsely claimed that I had attempted to start a fight with him, which was why I was thrown out. We requested to review the security camera footage to prove that this accusation was untrue. My intention was simply to understand why I was being so rudely thrown away from the place where I'd been spending time and money from 7 pm without causing any trouble. We asked to speak with the manager to file a complaint about the bouncer's behavior, but they refused. If the bouncer can simply decide not to call the manager, what is the point of the manager then? We noticed other guys wearing caps inside as well, but for some reason, I was targeted that day. When my girlfriend mentioned to the bouncers that some people wear caps because of their medical conditions, they completely ignored her and suggested we find another place to go. This experience was disrespectful, aggressive, and rude and was far from an inclusive environment. I find it hard to believe that such treatment is acceptable in a bar in the Netherlands. Guests should be treated with respect and dignity. This is an isolated incident, but if NRC is okay with such behavior (as they appeared to be), I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Let's collectively support more inclusive and friendly businesses rather than endorsing places like this in the future.

Service is very slow . Waiters do not notice you . Being on their outside terrace is nice in this notorious alive street . The aperol spritz is good . The sushi platters were very average . The crunchy salmon was fried rice and salmon too heavy too oily complete disaster to be honest . Food was disappointing . stick to having bites with your cocktail . Food taste was not worth money .
