The ambiance was warm and inviting. Service was very good and friendly. The food was amazing! The chef does a great job by making simple looking dishes taste fantastic! Definitely recommend!

I made plans and reservations weeks in advance to travel to Rotterdam just to come to this restaurant. Due to train delay and protest going on, I was 5 minutes late to the reservation, the hostess said she would seat us at the bar while she gets the table ready. It immediately felt strange when the hostess made a snarky comment to the bartender about having to serve us in english. A comment which she assumed we couldn’t understand as she said it in dutch. We ordered our first drink at the bar and hereafter found it basically impossible to either order anything or get any attention from the hostess, waiters or even the bartender. We saw many people who arrived after us be seated and when we tried to grab anyones attention we were bluntly ignored. It was only after an hour and 15mins that the hostess came over to us to ask if we would still like a table. At that point it was 8:50pm (reservation was at 7:30pm). We told her we would just have dessert as we didn't see the point in ordering a full meal this late. It then took another 20 minutes to try to get anyone to take our order and then again over 20 minutes to receive the dessert we ordered and to top it off it was incorrect (they put vanilla ice cream instead of the menus pistachio). This was truly a terrible service experience and definitely borderline racist or better said the many micro aggressions could be felt. I wouldn't recommend this place at all, especially if you are not dutch or of color. And judging by the staffs demeanour it not like they would want you there anyway.

We ordered the flatbread, guacamole, flat iron and the Franse frietjes. The flatbread and the guacamole were okay. But the flat iron was dry and the tast was blend. The Franse frietjes With Parmesan cheese were disgusting. The cheese was hard and the fries tasted even worse than McDonald’s french fries. We also ordered the strawberry daiquiri. It came in a little short glass. That is not a cocktail.

the staff was very dismissive, and the food was low quality and overpriced. Wouldn't recommend this place. Our dessert was good but it took 20 minutes to order it and then we had to wait another 30 minutes to get it. Really just slow and bad service.
