Welcome to the Hofbogen, a unique architectural monument in Rotterdam that has been given a new lease of life as a vibrant cultural and commercial space. As a Rotterdam Balloon Company, we are pleased to contribute to the festive atmosphere in this special location. The Hofbogen are a former railway viaduct that was built in 1908 as part of the Hofplein line, an important railway connection between Rotterdam and The Hague. After the closure of the railway line in 2010, the municipality of Rotterdam decided to keep the viaduct and give it a new purpose.

Today, the Hofbogen is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. It consists of a series of 40 arches stretching over an impressive distance of 1.9 kilometers. Numerous shops, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries and other creative ventures have settled in these arches, making it a vibrant and dynamic place.

The Hofbogen play a crucial role in the urban renewal of Rotterdam and have contributed to the redevelopment of the area around Station Hofplein. The area has been revitalized and is now an attractive place to live, work and relax. The combination of the historic architecture of the Hofbogen with the modern and creative offer has transformed the location into a lively cultural and commercial center.

Rotterdam's sky garden literally on the roof of an old railway station (Hofplein). I love the concept of an urban rooftop gardens and this one doesn't disappoint. Located right in the middle of the city it has become quite popular with tourists. It can be reached by taking a walk along the Luchtsingel bridge. Highly recommended

I visited many skywalks and skyparks, I like them. Paris, Hong Kong, Berlin, Bangkok and more. This one does not make it to most others but for Dutch concepts it is quite nice. When I was there it was not possible to sit anywhere in the park. Nice as you are really in and on an old train station. Open from sunrise till sunset (google says differently). Bars in the immediate area. Unique in Netherlands End of the walkway is Biergarten :)
